My 96 Evinrude 48 is surging when you open the throttle. Last time I went out I replaced the primer bulb and re ran the fuel lines with a water seperator and the boat ran fine. Today, surging. You can let off the throttle and let it idle for a few seconds then open it back up and it will run fine for about 30 secs to 1 minute, then the surging. Any ideas as to what I should check out?

Thanks

Re: Surging

Try pumping the primer constantly and see if the surge goes away, maybe you have fuel pump going out.

Re: Surging

If pumping the primer bulb corrects the problem, check all fuel line connections to the pump to make sure it is not sucking air. If all the connections are good and tight, replace/repair the fuel pump.
