are special tools required to change the exhaust & driveshaft bellows on a 1987 bayliner 5.7 motors & outdrives???

Ayuh,.... Welcome Aboard,... Depends on What motor, 'n outdrive yer talkin' 'bout,....

Bayliner builds Boats, not motors, nor drives,...

No special tools needed and it is possible to change them without removing the pivot housing, if it's a Cobra.

I was just where you are, never doing this work before.

There is a ton of info on here regarding bellows replacement. Mine was a Cobra, and I did not remove the pivot housing, and it was quite easy. I even adjusted the lower shift cable, myself, the best advice I got from here was, "Get an OEM manual" "try to use OEM parts" and "make or buy a drive stand" G/L
