88 force 85hp model 856X8B Block # M497793. I took the boat to get the lower unit oil replaced check out ok no water in the oil but it was burnt black. I took it out 3 times with in 2 week's an on the last run I noticed green fluid leaking from behind the propeller. I drained the oil an it was milky green I went to open the vent an fill screw an noticed that the fill had a double gasket , could that be why it's milky? But it is leaking out from behind the propeller. What to do? I called the place an the service advisor said that the oil leaking from behind the propeller means that the seals are blown out or in. If I would have to replace the oil seals to the propeller shaft do I have to disassemble the complete leg meaning gear casing, water pump , bearings etc. .. or can I just pull them from behind the zinc place that has 4 1/2 bolts ? I do have the repair Manuel but it's not clear if I need to disassemble everything or not. Any help is gladly appreciated. By the way I used the saltway flush because it was recommended because I'm always on saltwater. Would that had affected the seals? Cause wen you do radiator flushes on older car radiators it collapsed with in it's self because all the corrosion gets washed.
