Hello, I have this boat. I am looking for the detail who made it and capacity weight for this boat. when I purchase is very limited information. can anyone help ? this boat is 12' and Fiberglass. Any info is appreciated.

No idea who made that craft but most 12'ers are 3 persons / 400 Lbs persons & motor max HP 15. I'm sure someone will argue that but if you don't have a capacity plate on the transom then it's more of a swag.

any chance the boat is homemade? DXF is a computer format for plans and there are a TON of DXF file format plans for boats. Also, it looks registered, the registration does not say more?

Its true, DXF is a CAD FILE format, related to DWG (AUTO CAD) format. Mainly used for 2D blueprint type files. I dont think it has anything to do with the boat, in that relationship. Most likely the model, or MFG of the boat. Does the boat have a HIN, most times located at the upper starboard, transom area.

DXF could be Dixie Fiberglass Products they manufactured boats up until early 90's

Think ya' might have 'im Hermanclick. DXF is the MIC code for Dixie Fiberglass, and they did make a 12' skip jack in the mid 80's. Should be a HIN on it though. Typically stamped into the boat on the stern under the rub rail.

Thank you for everyone Help...it been help full....also do you know if This 12' fiberglass boat can run with 9.8 Hp....??? I have 20 hp now but the engine is start acting up.

I am assuming this is tiller steered with a 15 inch high transom. centerline length times transom width = factor Look up in this table:

I would say yes to 9.8, but just a guess. Better to calculate it. That outboard on it is way too big. It even has an extension of the transom because it is a twenty inch shaft.

I can say from personal experience that you can have TOO much motor on a Transom.
