Hey everyone. My brother has a 1994 Mercury 115 outboard and it was dying when going from neutral to forward or reverse and the rpms didn't seem as high as they used to be. I just took the carbs off and cleaned them (no kits) and it doesn't stall or die but at WOT it seems like it cuts out a little and seems to make a clicking type sound. I was careful to keep all the linkage and everything the same and was just wondering if using the old gaskets could cause this. I did remove the oil tank but put everything back the way it was. Other than that, the motor seems to be running alot better. Thanks in advance for any input.
