Optimax 150 dfi will not idle down after throttling

2005 optimax 150 DFI-starts fine and idles okay but after throttling it will not return to an idle. any suggestions?? No Alarms going off either.

Maybe the springs in your linkage at the motor? Have you checked the entire linkage system from controls to motor?

I checked all of the springs and linkage-found nothing. I have checked everything I know to check and cannot find the problem-:mad: I changed out the throttle cables a while back with some aftermarket ones, but I've run the boat since then and had no problems-not even sure if that's related or not-cables seem to be working fine. open to any other suggestions-maybe a video of the motor???
