I have a 1988 Mercury 3cyl 70hp. It is on a Tracker 17.5 ft. Magna V bottom. I am running a Solas 4 blade aluminum prop in 13 X15. Would I gain anything by going to a four blade in the same size ?

I do some lake fishing, river fishing, and Canada every year. I also load it up with the family of 5 and maybe a friend or two to go tubing.

Try a Mercury Spitfire 4 blade of a size that will let the motor turn to 5500 rpm with a normal load in the boat.

I get 31 mph at WOT at around 5200 rpm now with the Solas Amita alum 4 blade. Which I am quite happy with. Just wondering if I could expect much different if I went with a Solas HR Titan S.S. 4 blade in the same size and pitch.

Going from aluminum to SS usually requires a drop in pitch to maintain rpm.

The HR Titan is a more aggressive blade design with double the amount of cupping, so if you stayed with the same pitch, you could expect a drop in rpm. Exactly how much is the question. I would select the next lower pitch size to be safe. :)
