Hp is derived from where?

I Have a Honda BF8A and a Honda BF75 CDI. Where does the 8 get it's extra 1/2 horse power from. Cyl displacement, different carburation???? Thx

Or marketing, the HP figures listed for a motor can legally be off by 10%, some motor appear to be under that 10% window and other a bit over it, it just depends on what HP motor the marketing department thinks they need to sell.
