i have just bought a 65 or 68 16ft aluminum cherokee fishing boat i would like to restore but iam having a hard time finding photos of these boats i would like to paint it back to as close to original

Not much out there.....

Try looking for McKenzie Cherokee aluminum boat...

There are a few threads on iboats....... Start here:

Post some pix of yours, even if modified or painted. Any extra info can help the next Cherokee buyer find the McKenzie references.
