This ob is for sale and I am interested.

I understand "Johnson" and I understand "bomabardier" as in BRP. I don't understand "bomabardier 90hp fresh water"

Does it mean fresh water only or should not use in salt water? I have never heard of someone referring to a Johnson as a bomabardier.

Help me out with this one before I call the guy.

"Fresh water" is a testament that an engine has been used only in fresh water. Confirm that with the seller.

"Bombardier" is the owner of the Johnson brand who built the engine. It is mentioned to differentiate it from OMC-built engines.

Johnson does provide “Saltwater Series” motors manufactured with some “rust resistant" components, which supposedly will last longer in a saltwater environment. I probably have a “Freshwater series” engine that has spent it’s life in saltwater, and birthed ten months out of the year. It is a 1998 130 hp.
