I was ready to buy a minn kota 40lb. with 36" shaft when I discovered a watersnake 54lb. with a 42" shaft. I think the longer shaft will make it easier to operate when I'm sitting on my pedestal seat on my 16' aluminum bass boat. Also I could mount it on the bow of my 24' pontoon to move around those stumps and trees at Truman Lake. Anyone have any pros or cons about this watersnake brand?
