I have a 1996 Force 120. This past weekend I noticed a knocking noise coming from the lower unit when going forward. I can not hear the knocking noise when the engine is in nutral or in reverse. Only when moving forward. I have also noticed the throtle does not seem to travel as far and the engine seems to be low on power. Is this something that can be out of adjustment or a serious lower unit problem. I have did change the lower unit oil and saw some metal shavings on the drain plug but it didn't seem to be exsesive. The noise did not change after changing the oil. Any advise would be great.
