1973 Correct Craft

I bought this boat a couple of months ago had it out a couple of times.Ran good when it ran has a fuel issue which I think is a bad gasket on the filter housing. It is a 77 Evinrude motor. My question is, this boat is rated up to 60 HP, am I too underpowered?001.jpg

Then it's a little underpowered. Some say you should always put the max hp on a boat - you'll get the best performance that way. As a good rule of thumb, you should put at least 70% of the max hp on the boat - so at least a 40 on that boat. You are reasonably close to that however, so I wouldn't stress about it, provided you were happy with the performance you
