yamaha sterndrive trim problems

The trim on my 95 Yamaha works fine, up and down then will stop working with no clicking from the solenoids. After 2 or 3 min it will work fine again. When I test the power it reads 10 volts with switch up and 1 volt with switch down when it is working. When it stops it reads 12 volts both ways. Is this a bad ground ?

Ayuh,.... Welcome Aboard,.... Bad Ground or alota Corroded connections I'd guess,...

Follow the circuits through, from the battery posts to the pump motor, cleanin' 'em all to Shiny metal clean as ya go,...

I Grease mine to keep 'em from corrodin',... ;)
