Boat pulling to right

I have a 1984 Center Console Coho (built by Arrowglass) purchased new. Some years ago, I repowered with a 1992 Force 125hp. I have replaced props before, but now for the past 2 years the boat pulls to the right, and it is difficult to make a left turn at higher speeds. I have it at a repair facility now telling me the motor is mounted off center by 1 inch, and needs to be removed and refitted. I don't believe this is the problem and would appreciate comments and suggestions. We have worked with the trim tab - my two batteries are mounted on the starboard side in the stern.

What have you done with the trim tab? It should be adjusted slightly to starboard. Keep in mind it works opposite from a rudder.

What Bhile is saying, The trim tab or exhaust snout on the bottom of the motor needs to be turned.
From the back of the motor. If the boats turns right??? Then turn the snout to the right.
Get out the old measuring sticks and see if it realllly needs to be moved?
