Taking on about five gallons in three hours of water time (one hour underway, two hours sitting while two of us were diving.....and dripping scuba gear doesn't carry that much water.)

Okay, first I checked for cracks, chips, dings, etc on the hull- nada.
Then I added some water to the bilge area- no leaks, and nothing coming from around the drain plug.
Interestingly though, I'm on my fourth bilge in three years! (Not sure why they just die on me......Attwoods)
Because the bilge wasn't working on the last trip out, could water have 'backed into' the bilge clearing line?
I guess I haven't checked the glove box tube yet either........
I just can't see how that much water could even reach the seal under the rub-rail.
Suggestions?

Thank you!

I have read somewhere that you need to get the bilge dry, then sprinkle some talc powder in the dry bilge. put the boat into the water and monitor the bilge to determine what direction the water in coming from. The talc will show traces of water, where the eye will not detect a minor flow.
