I was not getting Spark from #1 cyc. so i swapped the Coils on #1 and #2 Cy. Now I get 7/16 White Spark on all 3 CyC.
Question? should I be Concerned ???

Re: 1975 Johnson 70esl75e Coil Queston

That's exactly what happened to me on a 79' 75hp johnson. No spark on #1 cylinder, switched to number 2 and had spark on all 3. Switched back to original and still have spark on all 3 cylinders.

From what I can dig up, the power packs on these engines were notorious for being finicky like that. Just keep your eyes on it. If it keeps fouling out then run some further tests to pinpoint a faulty coil or power pack. Also, it could have been a loose connection..? I dunno myself. I still have an intermittent misfire at low idle. Just havent gotten around to plugging the timing light to the coils to see if it is failing or not.

What part of Oregon?

Most likely you either had a bad connection at the plug, or a bad ground on a coil. Removing and switching things around was enough to fix the ground issue.
