went out for the piece together 24' pontoons first voyage tonight...

ya.. that didn't go well.

Went to open her up and instead of going, it picked up a tiny bit of speed then the throttle cable came out of the back of the controls. They are the US Marine ones that Force used in the late 80's/early 90's. I think the cable has issues but I have tons of those.

Anyone been able to fix this or should I go hunting for a metal replacement.

darn thing has tilt/trim so using one of several Chrysler controls laying around here is an option if I want to move or give up the tilt/trim button.

Most of the time the controls aren't a problem.
You can switch to any Chrysler/Force control.
Just add switch to the dash for the T@T

Re: #%# plastic controls..

it was all in the controls. the metal tab that holds the cables in the plastic housing really has no where to go. most of the plastic is gone. I have a chrysler head on it now with the old t/t handle on the floor to run it. I'd really like to keep the T/T on the handle so I am likely going to have to buy a new set of controls.
