My year model 2001, F115 has a rattle noise every time I turn it off. It last about 1 second. I think it is normal and see some people talking about an ISC valve. If anyone knows what this is, I would love to hear an explanation. Also what is an ISC valve, where is located and what does it do. Thanks for a great forum.

It is the Idle Speed Control Valve and they are known to rattle. Is your idle and acceleration okay? If so, personally, I would not worry about it.

Is the Idle speed control valve the same as the idle control valve (ICV) that I have seen mentioned? Thanks for the reply. I like your "Rules of Repair". They made me laugh.
