Some of you know I have been looking for a jon or bass boat for the lakes around here instead of my V-bottom, simply because its a better fit for me. Found one, and the deal worked out great.

I bought my 12' V-Hull in perfect shape on a nice trailer complete with a Johnson 5.5 (needed pulse pump), some gear, etc for $225.

I sold that boat, with literally just the boat and trailer (i kept my motors and everything) for $325.

Then I bought this 14' Jon boat for $300. All in all a good time :)

I think I need a 17' or 18' boat again with maybe a 90 Yamaha-- but my wife thinks 2 boats is enough already. Who would think that?

A wife LOL

Bought this one right after i posted this. Trailer and boat, $50. Going to fix it up then decide which I like better and sell the second one. Going to be posting in the boat building section shortly for input as to what direction I want to go with it.

That Edgewater is a sweet boat. Tell your wife that the second boat is an investment. Never worked for me, but who knows?

Cabbitt I told her that when I bought the indoor dry slip. I forgot to tell her about the HOA dues and may remember to one of these days. You are correct-- I have owned many boats over the past 40++ years and nothing comes close to the EdgeWater. She is taken care of by the pros at the marina with an open checkbook, that's how much I think of her. If I hit the lottery I'm buying a 24' EW cuddy and my wife wants to know why I buy those tickets......

That's like the way I did it. Bought 3 boats, well a canoe and two boats all in the same year. Mama was getting a bit concerned the third time around. I managed to make a couple of bucks on the first two and now I enjoy the fruits of my labor.
