Shifter/Throttle adjustment???

Where the throttle and shifter cable go into my 1976 55hp Evenrude motor there are 2 brass rods with a plastic wheel on each cable to adjust them I have a grind going into reverse not real bad but it was not there before I accidently adjusted the wrong one how do I adjust it to stop the grinding in reverse it doesn't do it in forward I WILL mark it when I get it right. If you know how to adjust both please respond

Try spinning it so it moves the gear lever that it attached to slightly rearward

Check when you have adjusted it that putting the control lever in neutral allows the flywheel to be turned but the prop stays in neutral
