How much can a second hand OB Motor cost ?

I am wondering how you guys estimate the value of an OB Motor when you buy it from somebody or some dealer who does not give warranty.<br /><br />I like to purchase a 115-150hp OB wich is not older than 8-10 Years. <br />Is there some rule how much a new 10000 tousend dollar or maybe a 15000 motor is loosing in its value under normal condition used in saltwater and not stored under a roof or tarp. <br /><br />Wich sings inform about alarming conditions of an OB ? <br /><br />Should you always do an compression check bevor you buy an OB

yes comp test is maditory. Here in australia, it better to buy a new OB, unless the 2nd hand one is old as the hill, then you can pick up a bargin.<br /><br /><br />cheers
