1995 Carbed 150p Ocean Runner...when idle timing is dropped to 6 degrees atdc per the service manual the rpm with engine in water goes up to about 950rpm...I prefer the idle pm lower but the timing has to be moved to about 9 Atdc for 800rpm. What could cause this vacuum leaks? Any issues or concerns running this way?

Re: Idle rpm and timing

Is your engine sitting correctly in water/did you do this on muffs?
A bit higher and your rpm will be higher as less backpressure
