I wasn't having good luck in my last post so I figured I'd ask this particular question in a new one - does anyone know if there is any alternative to using a Rochester #17057132? It's mounted on my Mercruiser 470 (1978), but they seem like they're a rare carb and anyone near me doesn't have one in stock! Can I use another Rochester 2bbl with the same base pattern or sierra with the same base or is there something particular with the 17057132 that I'm stuck with it? Thanks for any info!

There is the 3310-860071A4 Mercarb. Pretty expensive new, but check out e-bay for 470 mercarb. There are two Mercarbs, the newer one with the larger accelerator pump is the one you want. Rebuild it and you should be good to go.

Awesome! Thank you so much for the info. Do you possibly know what the base bolt pattern is? Thanks.

Thank you, now I just need to figure out how to mount the throttle cable and bend a new fuel line! Thanks again, I'm excited to finally be able to dump my current carb!
