There are no water telltales (like an outboard) on stern drives, only a gauge on the dash.... Unless you are referring to the water drain hole on the front of the gear housing, on the starboard (?) side, down near the bottom.

Just curious where the water flows out of because its water cooled like an outboard. I know it doesn't have a telltale but its got to come out somewhere! Thinking of buying one and would like to know before hand. Thanks

Exhaust water will flow from either of the exhaust reliefs at the bottom of the gimbal housing (either side) and some out of the prop, just like an outboard.
