Hello, i have a 1996 volvo penta outdrive. I just recently got this and the engine runs great but one day i went out to lift the engine up so i could move it nothing happened. i press the button to lift it up and not a single thing happens no noise or anything i checked if there was power getting back to the solenoid and there is power back there but still theirs nothing happening. i would think that if the solenoid was bad it would make a noise or something but its completely silent. what could be wrong? i need to know:blue: because i cant get my outdrive up without it.

Re: hydraulic engine lift problems

Well, if you have power to the solenoid, do you have power on the other side of the solenoid?

If not, I would suspect the solenoid.

If you do have power, that requires a deeper dive. The next step would be the wiring between the solenoid and the trim/tilt motor.
