looking at buying a 87 nordic crestliner 18 fiberglass w/3.0. I'm using this boat for fishing in the big pond (lake michigan) and family outings in smaller lakes, Any help,vises reviews on this boat.

also looking at 87 celebrity 18ft w/305 for the same purpose

fish the big pond for years but never had my own boat any input on this subject would be awesome

Welcome to iboats!:welcome:

Everything else being equal (but when is that ever the case?), I would go with the Celebrity simply because the extra power might save your neck in a dicey situation like trying to outrun a squall.

However, for a better answer, we would need to know more about the boats, especially what brand of outdrive they have.
