I've got a 1960 Mohawk that sits on a 1962 Acme trailer(yes, like in the roadrunner cartoons). The old torsion axle on one side has completely gone. Instead of a 45 degree angle, it sits at 0. Is there any way to repair it because there is only a single square tube running the center of the trailer and the torsion axle is a round tube that is spot welded into a cut piece that's 1/4 of a square tube. To mount a new torsion(or leaf spring) axle would cost me as much if not more than purchasing a used trailer. This is due to the fact that I would have to weld a whole frame, basically. Any help would be appreciated. I do have pics to upload if needed. Thank you. :dispirited:
