does anyone know where i might find a carb for a 1985 yamaha 115 hp when i look on the yamaha site it says they are obsolite i am looking for 2 used ones
when parts are listed as obsolete, I bring the part number to a marina and ask if they have it. most of the time, they will tell you that's it's been discontinued, but will tell you what part number has replaced it.
Do you really need a whole new carb? These things are infinitely cleanable. Seldom do you even need a carb kit if you're careful with the gaskets.
I do have a 1985 115 hp with a bad lower unit. Both carbs have 0 hrs. since cleaned. I have not made up my mind to part the engine out or spend the money for a SES lower unit. PM me.
