I apologize in advance for showing my ignorance......is a 15 spline prop interchangeable on any 15 spline shaft or is different for each manufacturer? I'm prop shopping and I know I need a 15 spline but wasn't sure if I had to get it specifically for my Evinrude or if just 15 spline was adequate.

Re: Correct Hub?

Although all could be 15 splines, spline width and lenght could vary from one engine manufacturer to the other.

Johnson/Evinrude use a different hub number than a Mercury(for example); even though they are both listed as 15 spline.

If the prop uses a pressed in hub, you have to make sure it's for one or the other.
