hi. I have a 1982 mercruiser 120. I replaced the rear motor mounts, gimble bearing, drive shaft and engine coupler. I am trying to align the motor with the alignment tool and I see that the motor is to the port side about 1/8th inch (off center 1/16th). I don't know what to do to shift it over. I tried to loosen all the mounts and use a pry bar to get it to move a little but it wont. has anyone here ever ran into this problem? I am new to the boating world and would sure appreciate any help that would get me on the water. thank you very much.

The rear mounts are fixed in the right position for port-to-starboard alignment. The front mount adjustment control up and down for alignment. If the coupler appears to be off to the left, I would suspect something else is in play. Turn the engine 1/4 of a revolution and have another look. If the alignment problem is now an up or down issue, you have a damaged coupler.
