Welcome to iboats!:welcome:

If the guy doesn't have proper ownership documents, which should at the least have the manufacturer and year of the boat, you won't be able to use the boat on public waterways as you won't be able to register it unless your area allows a designation of "homebuilt."

The boat is in extremely rough shape and will need an awful lot of work and $$$ to be made seaworthy.

Looking at those couple of pictures, I would not touch it with a 10 foot pole no matter the price, I seriously doubt it is a Christ Craft, look at the bow, does not show some of the tell tail sign of being a CC, for the work and the money you will have to put in that boat, you can buy a sea worthy CC, I just looked at one yesterday that was in pretty good shape and it was less than $7500 to put that one back in shape, it is going to cost more than what I could have purchased this one for. This one does not even have a motor in it that I can see, which is that is a mid engine set up, is going to be very expensive to get.

The old woodys are great boats, but they are very expensive to restore correctly. I have been looking for one for a couple of years now.
