Motor idles fine and runs well. However upon acceleration just before coming up on plain it bogs down. New gas lines, flow of fuel is good to the motor. Carbs were just rebuilt and adjusted. What could be causing the motor to bog down and not hit top end? Maybe carbs were not cleaned correctly (jets)? Am at a loss. I've tried everything just short of taking the carbs off myself and redoing them. Any ideas? Thanks!!!

Welcome aboard Jarhead.

Does the motor bog down and die unless you let off the throttle or just stay at low speed? How do you know the flow or fuel to the motor is good? Did the fuel lines get replaced too when the carbs were rebuilt? How about the fuel pump was it rebuilt or replaced? Does the primer bulb stay tight or go soft? Is your fuel tank venting properly?
