My 1988 Johnson 200 has a fuel problem I can not seem to figure out. So I am asking for any help on this issue. The fuel bulb is going flat and the fuel alarm is going off over 2500 rpm. Does not seem to hold fuel in bulb at all. Feels mushy and does not inflate after pumping. Replaced water fuel filter. New line and bulb from there to new fuel filter on side of engine and now it seems worse than before. Any ideas on what to try next. It will run fast but the bulb goes totally flat and alarm is buzzing whole time. And if I go to slow . It loses its prime and stalls like its outa gas. Thanks for any help.

pull the fuel tank pickup out and check for plugged screens, remove and inspect the anti-siphon valve, and check all the hoses for kinks or internal delamination. Those are the most common problems

Re: Fuel alarm issue. Please help.

Antisiphon valve is usually in the fuel tank pickup tube. Also check fuel tank vent for obstruction.
