i recently picked up a 51 johnson and the seller told me to use non-oxy fuel. I have checked several sites and was wondering if fuel choice makes a difference. any ideas on what fuel and mixture to use would be helpful. thanks!

Well , due to the number of gas stations that DON'T have non-oxy fuels , regular, fuel works just fine. A mixture of 24:1 or 32:1 would serve you just fine.

I wouldn't go any less than 24:1 on that. They did put needle bearings in that motor, but the wrist pins are a weak point in the older 10's, so a little more oil is good.
