I have a 14' aluminum Gregor will a 20" transom and a long shaft 2 stroke Evinrude. I would like to use my new 4 stroke Tohatsu short shaft on it. Do you think this would work?

Don't think that's gonna work.
Did you just buy the motor new?
Maybe you can take it back and trade it for a long shaft?

The Tohatsu is on a 14' Valco with a short transom and I'm thinking of getting rid of the boat but I like the Tohatsu motor. In other words, I like the Gregor boat and the Tohatsu. I just can't seem to combine them. Maybe I'll just keep both boats the way they are.:D

Many small short shaft motors can be adapted to long shaft with a kit that includes a shift shaft, drive shaft, water tube and housing extension. Not familiar with Tohatsus myself, but it might be worth checking out to see if the offer the kit...
