I need some help in figuring out whats wrong with my motor. The other day I took it out and it wouldnt start. The motor would turn over but wouldnt start. Took it home and did some tests. Swap brand new spark plugs also. I sprayed starter fluid into the carbs and it started for 2 sec then died. From this Im guessing its a fuel problem. Then I sprayed some of the pre mixed gas/oil from a spray bottle into the carbs and it starts right up and stays running like normal. I then turned the motor off and try to start it again without the spray and it starts right up again like nothings wrong. Im guessing its either clogged carbs or the choke solenoid is broken. What do you guys think?

There was a 115 v6 but it was an Optimax somewhere around 1999.

You changed the spark plugs, and you didn't notice they were all inline with each other?

Sounds like dirty carbs.

You should start a new thread.

It is possible to clean carbs while installed, but so much easier and much better cleaning job, when they are removed.
