tach help

I have just put a new to me 1996 mercury 75hp oil injected 2 stroke
the problem I have is finding instructions to help me set my marpac tach for the new motor
any help on what setting I need to put the tach setting on

thanks in advance for the help

Purple from remote control to batt on tach.

Grey from remote control to sign/send on tach.

Black from remote control to ground on tach.

If light on tach,you can connect a jump wire from another instrument(THE LIGHT PART) to the LIGHT part on your new tach.

your stator on that motor has 12 poles ...... tach should have something on the back like inserted photo ..... if this marpac is the same as yours, the setting would be 5 then.

I believe you will want to set it to 12 poles, so setting 5
