OIL Change 1980 70hp

Should you change the oil in the crankcase?? If yes How do you change the oil and what type of oil should you use? I can not see a drain plug. filler or anyway to even check the oil.

unless it's a 4 stroke there is no oil to change in the crankcase. oil is either used in a premix condition at 50:1 ratio with the gas or is mixed using a VRO system.

I do not know of any 4 cycle Outboards of that HP, made by Johnnyrude in 1980.

Yeh dumb question I realized after I sent it it is mixed with the gas. What prompted the thought was i had an overfueling situation because of the needles on the float in one carb. I assume that this gas went down into the crankcase?????? Should I be adding extra oil for one tank or is there no problem?

No just mix 2.60 ozs. oil to each gallon of gas which will give you the correct amount of 50:1 mix.
