Is a lync and sync needed after a new dist cap/plugs/plug wires?

I had the local shop do a lync and sync, but then after that I had them change the distributor cap, plugs, and plug wires. Do I need another lync and sync done?

As a side note, can I adjust idle mixture without doing the lync and sync? (my buddy thinks the engine is shaking a little due to it being a little too lean)
It's a 77 Mercury 1150

Thanks very much!

Distributor cap only fits one way, so no Link and synch is necessary. Idle mixture can be adjusted anytime, without disturbing link and synch.

Idle stop and then also throttle cable can be adjusted as well?

If it's my understanding correctly, once timing stop and throttle stop and the actual timing are set, the other variables can be adjusted by themselves?

Just want to be sure of what I can adjust without influencing everything else..

Man, iboats is definitely one of the best resources on the net :)

Idle stop and throttle stop may be adjusted as well w/o disturbing link and synch. Although I cannot think of any reason you would want to change throttle stop.

Max spark advance and idle pickup timing must not be changed.

Ahh sorry, spark advance and pickup timing is what I meant, wouldn't think of changing the throttle stop unless I did some serious mods heh...

Thanks Chris!
