470 valve cover gasket

Does anyone know if the 460 gasket will work or should I use a mercruiser one ? Also what is the torque spec for the valve cover

Well it is a 460 Ford head,so it will work.

Its a 460 head so I would bet it's a perfect match ;)

Manual 8 says 90 Inch Pounds.......... (not foot pounds).

90 inch pounds = 7.5 ft lb. That is not very much just kinda snug.

Ok thanks I will pickup gaskets for a 460 this way I have a spare . 90 inch pounds don't think my torque wrench goes that low . Will check autozone for one . Thanks for all the help guys greatly appreciated. Happy boating
