Came across a 14 ft fiberglass trihull for free this past week and I am just starting to tear into it. The outside shell is is in pretty good shape but has sat outside for quite awhile without being covered so the deck and transom are both shot. (put a hole in the decking glass with a hammer and water poured out). I want to restore this boat for a nice fishing skiff or open water duck boat. The main reason i want to keep this boat is because it is 60' wide and its hard to find those in northern IN. My first question is do I cut out the fiberglass shell around the transom when I replace it? I will try to get more pictures up tonight to explain some more but any help with this project would be great. Im new here but have read through many of the rebuild stories and hope to use some of your guys ideas on my rebuild. Thanks in advance!
