Watertender 9.4 rowboat

Howdy all I'm relatively new to the forum. Just recently I've picked up a pristine '86 Evinrude 8hp for 100 bucks. Now I'm looking for a small boat. I want something that will get up and go and be good for fishing for 1 or 2 people. I'm leaning towards the watertender 9.4 which has caught my eye. Any suggestions or info would be greatly appreciated!

That boat is only rated for for 5 HP. Saranac Lake is pretty big. I would want something like a 14' aluminum semi-v to go with that motor and that lake.

I was also thinking of a 12' or 14' v hull. Yeah the water level is rediculously high after all the rain we've had. Fishing hasn't been too great since
