I have an AQ125/ AQ270 setup on a 1950 Bayliner Capri, with a prop that is a short hub now and is a 14 X 17P. I am wanting to use it mainly to pull skiers, (So top end is not as important). It is my understanding I can go to a long hub, and with that difference the the long hub is for more speed. So my thought is I want to go to a 4 blade long hub that is 14.5 X 17P, for the power and keep the rpms in range of the 4800 wot, or do I need to maybe look at a 15P since I am going to 4 blade? Thoughts and any input is appreciated, thanks.

Unfortunately Volvo is pretty much a mystery to most of us.
I don't even know if you can put a long hub on a short hub gear case
Near as I can tell a AQ 125 isn't necessarily a 125 hp. If you can help with your hp,and wot rpm and speed and the gear ratio
off the outdrive, we may be able to tell if your setup seems to work and go from there. Probably need the year of the rig as well.
