BIL can use some help on this one.
Last year, batteries dead from electronics left on. After charging batteries, no output from alternator.
Shop says fusible link bad. Replaces. All is well.
This year batteries dead from electronics left on. Jump started from stand alone battery. Engine runs. No output from alternator.
Engine does not run without stand alone battery.
So, we look for the "fusible link" or any other fuse we can find. We find nothing. While looking, we find orange wire next to alternator disconnected and taped. Pretty sure this isn't factory shipped this way.
Does anyone have an idea on this?
2009 Rinker. 350 Merc. Gen 3 outdrive.
