My old teak strips on my platform are done. Old and Rotten. I picked up some white oak strips at the local hardware store. I plan on staining them a walnut color. Question is should I seal it up with varnish or just stain them and let them be. Will the varnish hold and trap some moisture making them age quicker than just haveing them bare and dry on their own?
