Ok tell me if i am on the correct train of thought. I have a 1981 johnson 115 hp
It has been sitting for at minimum 5 years. Mice got under the cowling made a nest and you know the rest from there. I have now gone through and repaired all of the wiring. I soldered and heat shrinked all of the frayed wiring.
Now on to my issue.
I have no spark on the bottom left cylinder.
All of the other three have a big fat blue spark that easily jumps a half inch gap.
Though the top cylinder on that side seems to spark a bit slower (this could be a figment of my imagination though)
I swapped the coils from the right side and still have no spark on that cylinder.
The next thing i have done is swap the power packs. Now i have spark on the bottom right but not on the bottom left.
Does this indicate a failure of that power pack? I would like to know for sure before i drop 100 on another powerpack.
Should I investigate further or is this evidence enough?
