chrysler 115 killing batteries

I have an 81 chrysler 115. just got a new cdi for it and its running better than ever. had it on the lake friday and saturday with no problems. Took back to the lake sunday and went to start it and the battery was acting like it was dead. Put a known good one in it and the same thing. Starter wouldnt hardley turn the motor. All my connections look good.

Anybody know what it could be?

You said it. "Starter wouldnt hardley turn the motor". Open it up and check it out. Edit: connections looking good and being good are not the same. You have to "know" they are good.

the starter is only about 3 months old. I started the boat yesterday with no problems. I dont understand how it will run and start perfect but then other times it acts like the battery is dead. i cleaned and brushed all of the major connections but any other help would be appreciated.
