1991 5.0 2bbl- Idles fine, no-load rev to 2000rpm, return to idle, stalls?

Fresh gas, fresh separator, cleaned fuel lines. Carb has not been adjusted or touched. Idles fine, temps in line, runs at 2000rpm fine (no load), but return to idle and stalls out.
Starts back up no problem.

Increase in idle speed via idle screw?

I'm of the opinion that the less I mess with something, the less likely something is to go wrong. Plus, I'm a product of the EFI generation and have absolutely NO experience tuning carbs. computerized fuel injection is a magical thing. Carbs to me are wizardry, smoke, and unicorn farts.

Ayuh,.... That, is rarely the answer, I'd think it's deeper than that,....
Ya need 650/ 700 rpms at idle, in the water, in gear,...

If yer not capable of fixin' yer carb,...
All I can say is Find someone who Is capable,....

These things most Never fix themselves,...
