Re: 2001 gti sea doo

There are two wires coming from the switch and they only make contact when pressed. The switch seems to be a real problem child for the PWC industry. Every time the switch is pushed it closes a contact with the computer which tells it to start if its off and start if its not running. Find the two wires which go down to the computer, you will find two push connector pin plugs. Disconnect these and place a ohm meter between the two wires leading to the switch and push the switch. It should read 0 ohms when pushed and infinity when not pushed. If you have the right two wires you can use a jumper between the to connectors leading to the computer to start and stop the seadoo by touching them together.

its a yellow/red wire. Find the connector under the steering assy, inside hull and test there, but i think thats not your problem. Locate the rear black ebox..(2-red cables leaving it). Those cables are attached to a relay. With good battery, jump the relay, to make sure your motor isnt seized and that the starter is good.

If so, then with button depressed, check the red cable terminal at relay for power leaving relay to starter. If not power, your relay is bad.

Whats the symptom/s the ski is doing?
